All rising together
More than just words, Third Bridge’s culture commitment of “All Rising Together,” is a central theme of Anmol’s career. He’s seen it in action everywhere, from his mentors to the way his team operates. “Everybody is looking out for one another to ensure that there is a success story for everybody,” he explains. “It’s not an individualistic mindset. Yes, I have my targets or I have this work to do. But we also have a shared responsibility to make sure the person sitting next to us is growing and has success as well.”
This ethos is one he embodies as a manager. Anmol knew from early in his career that he eventually wanted to manage people, and his career highlights now include times he has helped others succeed. One team member in particular comes to mind, “I realized that he had talent and a lot of potential,” he reflects, “I worked with him very closely and he’s probably the strongest performer in India right now.” Anmol’s belief in ‘all rising together’ helped turn a team member’s performance around “Our clients swear by him. He gets shout-outs in their internal emails. At one point, he was the top performer on the leaderboard globally.” he beams with pride at the transformation, knowing this success is truly a collective one.
For Anmol, getting the best from people is about understanding their unique motivations. He believes that while looking at performance numbers is of course important, the key is knowing what makes each individual tick. “Some are motivated by seeing constant recognition, some by constant growth, and some are motivated by validation from their superiors or their clients,” he says. Identifying these factors and acting on them helps Anmol keep his team’s motivation high so everyone can deliver their best work.
He also credits Third Bridge’s commitment to upskilling employees as an example of ‘all rising together’ in action. Not only has he leveraged his Personal Development Allowance (an annual budget that employees can use on training) to develop his communication and leadership skills, he also cites in-person training events as being incredibly impactful. “We did a two-day sales training recently. I thought I was quite good at sales till I spoke to him!” he jokes. “He was excellent, and he gave us so many pointers on how we can change things, how we can approach people, how our body language should change. It sharpened me as a person.”
Beyond the day-to-day and the shared goal to hit targets lies something deeper, a connected community of motivated people which is regularly strengthened by Third Bridge rituals like away days. He fondly recalls a company offsite where senior leaders and Associates alike went travelling together and had the opportunity to get to know each other, enjoy time outside of work, and build relationships. “The fact that everybody could speak to everybody without any barriers, or without worrying ‘this guy is five levels above me!’... that was a really iconic part of my career here,” he remembers.
