Unfortunately, with increased convenience comes a greater risk of bad actors. We know that the value of an expert survey is directly tied to the quality of the data it yields, which is why we are uncompromising in our approach to selecting the right experts for every survey. 

The highest data quality standards begin at the point of survey initiation. Participation in Third Bridge surveys is invite-only, meaning only relevant experts will be contacted for each survey. While relevance is first and foremost linked to expertise, qualifying factors may also include geography, job title, company size, industry, and past consultation experience. However, matching is not a perfect science. As an expert, the more complete your profile information, the greater the likelihood of receiving the best-matched opportunities. 

Once invited to participate, a short pre-screener helps ensure that an expert’s background and experience are a precise match for the client's needs. This brief simple pre-survey step is not a barrier, it’s a critical action that ensures:

  • Experts are set up for success. To protect both experts and our clients, experts must only complete surveys that are within their domain of expertise. The pre-screener is how we guarantee this, reinforcing the value of the entire engagement.
  • Expert time is respected. By ensuring a proper fit from the outset, we prevent experts from spending time on a survey that is not relevant to their expertise.
  • The data adds value. Our clients rely on us to deliver insights from carefully considered populations. Even if an expert is familiar with a topic, pre-screeners help validate whether an expert falls within the required survey demographic and that their survey responses will be usable.

To enable us to protect the integrity of our surveys, ‘super-respondent’ behaviour will not be tolerated.  We carefully review all responses for signs of those favouring volume over authenticity and will actively remove any bad actors from the network.
